RIVERSIDE Calif. — Norma Hughes, 90, formerly of Davenport, died peacefully at her home in Riverside on Jan. 10, 2014. Following cremation, graveside services will be at Riverside National Cemetery on Jan. 29. Acheson and Graham Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Norma Hughes was born Nov. 7, 1923, in Long Beach, Calif. She married Ralph Hughes in 1958 in Davenport. He preceded her in death. She retired from the Oscar Mayer Co. before moving to Riverside.

Survivors include daughters, Pamela (Jerry) Dodd, California, and Patricia Desmond, Carthage, Tenn.; son-in-law, Tom York, Davenport; sisters, Darlene (Tom) Nolan and Rosemary (Loren) Burken, Davenport; brothers-in-law, Robert (Donna) Hughes and David Hughes, Davenport; Paul (Madelyn) Hughes, Millington, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; and the Brady families from Edgewood, Iowa.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughters, Bernice York and Pamela Jean (in infancy); brothers, Robert and Donald Jenkins; brothers-in-law, William and Dennis Hughes.
